Savage, MN - Four childhood friends from Clarion, Iowa met for the sixth year in what the grownup schoolgirls have deemed HenFest. Why? Read here. This year's reunion took place at the Thompson Water's Edge Bed and Breakfast. The resort home is situated on beautiful McColl Pond in the quaint Minneapolis burb of Savage.
The weekend consisted mostly of talking, shopping,

eating, drinking,

and lots of laughing.
Other activities included paddle boating and canoeing,

playing cards, making s'mores by the campfire, and playing the Wii.
They also saw the hilarious show "Church Basement Ladies 2, A Second Helping" at the Plymouth Playhouse.

One of the hens introduced the others to a potential rooster. It was determined that he would get along well with the current rooster and make a fine addition to the coop.

A wonderful time was had by all. The women plan to meet again next year, during the Memorial Day weekend, at a location yet to be determined.

Wait a sec... I'm confused. There is only one rooster that goes with all these hens?
OK. Never mind. I just read the explanation of henfest. Ah, yes. It is true. Jason and 4 chicks. You are so generous to share like that. Hee hee.
Looks like you girls had a blast! What a fun tradition to have. And Sue, your hair looked cutie-patootie in all the pics. Very "piecey." :)
Oh too fun! I am so excited for all of you. What a great bond you all have.
