Door County Caches

We found several geocaches on our vacation to Door County. The best caches were the ones that led us to interesting places or were multi-caches.
This one was a two part multi-cache. First we had to find the place where the coordinates for the main cache were hidden.
The first coordinates led us here.
We searched and searched but it was right under our noses the entire time.

The coordinates were hidden inside the film canister and it was attached by a magnet to the back of the sign.

Here's what was inside of the container.

Jason plugged the numbers into the GPS and on we went, in search of the bigger cache.

Allie found this one but it took some searching.

Another fun find was a cache that required us to go to a designated location...

...a historic rangelight.

And read about it. Then we had to answer several questions and the answers to those questions were the coordinates to the big cache.

Here they go, down a sandy path. But they looked in the wrong spot and I was the one to find the treasure!

If You Listen Real Hard...

...you can hear the ocean.

Or at least Lake Michigan!

The Majernik's Go Kayaking

We went on a 4 hour kayaking tour on Lake Michigan, near the caves of Cave Point County Park. We were in a group with 8 others; another family of 4, a group of 3 friends, and a lone gal whose goal it was to see all 50 states (her next stop is Iowa). Kalen was our awesome guide dude, he was taking the pictures.

Yes, that's Deef napping while I do all of the paddling!

The Dolls Love Door County

Kit and Mia are sure enjoying their vacation in Door County.

They've spent a lot of time on the beach, working on their suntans.
They have also been Geocaching.

"We are really close!"

"There! Under that log!"

Hopefully Allie and Meredith have been having as much fun as their dolls!

Our East Coast Cottage

We are getting ready for our vacation to the East Coast...of Wisconsin.

This is the cabin that we rent. It's called Pioneer Cottage.

It's a tad bit rustic.
Some would say, "one step up from camping".

But when you step outside, onto the sandy beach of Lake Michigan...

...it's perfect!
