Today was Meredith's last day of preschool. It's a bit sad for me because for the past 5 years I've been involved with St. Mark's Lutheran Preschool in some form or another. Allie went there for 3 and 4 year old preschool. Meredith and I attended the Mom and Tot 2 year old class. And Meredith also attended both 3 and 4 year old preschool.
In preparation for the end of the preschool era, the kids have been going to Sunday School this school year. They also attend Vacation Bible School there each summer.
This year, I've also helped out several times in a substitute teacher's assistant role. I recently completed all the paperwork and classes that the state requires for such a job. But today when we left for the last time and we hugged the teachers goodbye, they pulled me aside and told me a bit of exciting news. The youngest member of the teaching staff is expecting baby number two and they asked if I would fill in while she is on maternity leave in November and December (don't worry KC Lab, I'll only be busy on Tuesday and Thursday mornings). So my days with the preschool program at St. Mark's will continue on after all!

Here is Meredith and her cousin, Amelia, with their teachers, Mrs. C and Mrs.
Zielinski. These two were also Allie's teachers for both her years of preschool.

Amelia is a lucky girl. She will have the same teachers next year too.

This is Meredith's
BFF, Caitlin. They will not attend the same school for Kindergarten but will dance together next year at Heidi's so we will see her and her sweet family each week.

This is Ethan and he will be going to Kindergarten with Meredith at
Stettin Elementary next fall. I wonder if I will take another picture like this 13 years from now?
And for your listening pleasure...here is a little piece from today's program. Meredith is in the back-center of the group and Amelia is in front of her and to the right. In case it's hard to hear, they are saying "Five little fishies frying in a pan, the grease got hot and one went BAM!".
